A blog to echo the deafening silence that is the SMU Football Fandom
I think retaining Bennet is the right decision. Who do you get to replace him? Does that person do a better job? How many key players do we lose in the transition?I think Orisini made the right call. SMU football has shown improvement, and he is returning the best squad of players in his tenure. If he can't make it to a bowl next year, he's proven its time to give him the ax. (Which will be a cheaper option with only 1 year remaining on his contract.)All of that said, his offensive play calling has been horrid. I think the offensive coordinator needs to go. But that's just me.
