"The Waiting"

Oh baby dont it feel like heaven right now
Dont it feel like somethin from a dream
Yeah Ive never known nothing quite like this
Dont it feel like tonight might never be again
We know better than to try and pretend
Baby no one could have ever told me bout this

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

Well yeah I might have chased a couple of women around
All it ever got me was down
Then there were those that made me feel good
But never as good as I feel right now
Baby youre the only one thats ever known how
To make me wanna live like I wanna live now

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more ca rd
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

Dont let it kill you baby, dont let it get to you
Dont let em kill you baby, dont let em get to you
Ill be your breathin heart, Ill be your cryin fool
Dont let this go to far, dont let it get to you

President Turner is making a mountain out of a mole hill. Let Willis back now. Speaking as an alum who is a member of the Mustang Club, I had planned on coming up to the Marshall game. Good weather, good opponent, what is not to like.

I am now planning to go to Galveston. Good weather, nice day at the beach, good seafood. And, I will not be renewing my Mustang Club membership. I am through.

this bs cannot be tolerated, just because he is a athlete doesnt mean he is above the law. He commited assault against a gay man and this can be considered a hate crime. Kick him off the campus

or you could say he assaulted a man that has been harrasing him for the past year that just so happens to be gay. from what people are saying this guy had it coming and its really bad that administration did not do anything about it when willis first brought it to their attention

harrasing? There is no evidence of harrasment by the victim in this terrible crime. Even if this claim of harrassment is correct, he shouldnt of commited an assault that can be considered a hate crime by most. He could of gone to the campus authorities. Im disgusted with the entire situation

To call it a hate crime means you have to believe that Willis hates homosexuals and had no motivation for striking the person other than the fact that he knew the person was a homosexual. Putting aside the stalking claim, it is clear from statements made by Willis and others that Willis and this person had some kind of, I struggle to call it "history," but there is some interaction between the two over a period of time. Notwithstanding what was allegedly said at the time of the incident, I do not see how one can conclude the sole or primary motivating factor for the incident was bigotry. The mere fact that the incident involved a gay does not make it a hate crime.

And to say that there is no evidence of harassment is disengenuous.

I must not have lived in the same world as SMU students of today. Since when did a guy getting punched become a terrible hate crime? Good lord, man, worse things than this happen ever weekend in the parking lots of clubs that are on Greenville Ave. And in most all of them, the police never get called.
