I think retaining Bennet is the right decision. Who do you get to replace him? Does that person do a better job? How many key players do we lose in the transition?
I think Orisini made the right call. SMU football has shown improvement, and he is returning the best squad of players in his tenure. If he can't make it to a bowl next year, he's proven its time to give him the ax. (Which will be a cheaper option with only 1 year remaining on his contract.)
All of that said, his offensive play calling has been horrid. I think the offensive coordinator needs to go. But that's just me.
